State Planning Commission Chair, Craig Holden, has today accepted the resignation of Commission member Noelle Hurley.

Ms Hurley has regretfully submitted her resignation from her position to focus on fulfilling her obligations as executor for her late father’s estate and the travel this involves.

“May I say that working with the Commission and PLUS, including being involved in the “30-year plan” for metropolitan and regional SA, has been a much-valued opportunity and a distinct privilege,” says Ms Hurley.

“During my independent trip to the Eyre Peninsula and South East just prior to Christmas, I was able to see personally what has been, and is still to be, achieved. We are a very fortunate state and I know that it is in safe hands with the Commission’s vision.”

Ms Hurley became a member of the State Planning Commission in 2021. Her appointment reflected her experience as a legal practitioner, both nationally and internationally. Ms Hurley also brought great expertise as a board director and executive council member to the Commission.

“On behalf of the Commission, I want to thank Noelle for her service and her commitment to the strategic growth and progress of South Australia. It has been a pleasure to collaborate with her these past few years, in particular drawing on her legal, governance and risk expertise. We wish her all the best,’ says Mr Holden.

In accordance with the legislative requirements, the Minister for Planning, Nick Champion, will lead the process of appointing a new Commission member.
